The City Council welcomes these days a sample of huertana crafts organized by the rock 'the Refajo'
Lorquí celebrated on October 1 its XII Bando Huertano, organized by the rock 'The Refajo' in collaboration with the City Council, through the Department of Culture, on the occasion of the Feast of the Rosary and in the vegetable garden clubs involved for maintain the tradition and customs.
The program will be completed with an exhibition of handicrafts huertana at City Hall, a play on the street, a children's storytellers in the Municipal Library and a gastronomic route 'Delicias de la Huerta' by many bars and restaurants of the town.
This was announced by the mayor, Joaquin Hernandez, during the presentation poster XII Bando Huertano at City Hall by a neighbor Lorquí, as is tradition, Miguel Antonio Abenza, and in which "collects and perfectly reflects the character of our people and our side. "
The evening also welcomed the opening of the exhibition of handicrafts huertana organized by the rock 'The Refajo' and in which "you can see different samples of the craftsmanship of the people of Lorquí".
The Bando Huertano be held on October 1st from 18.30 and will cover many of the streets of the town until you reach the Plaza de la Libertad where the floral offering to the Virgin of the Rosary will take place and after that the rocks will come the Constitution Park where there will be a convivial evening with musical performances by dance groups and other activities huertanos.
To publicize the program;
which also includes the Oct. 9 a play on the street: 'Typical' Nacho Vilar Productions and a storytelling session for children of the house, on Monday 31 October in the Municipal Library, during Halloween ;
It has conducted a campaign of dissemination and promotion through posters, flyers and advertising panels in Lorquí and in other surrounding municipalities.
In addition, the City has made a significant effort to broadcast live streaming Facebook and through the Bando de la Huerta and thus remove to more people making use of new technologies.
Gastronomic route
To complete the cultural offer, this year the Department of Commerce in collaboration with numerous bars and restaurants of the town, has launched the Gastronomic Route 'Delicias de la Huerta' that aims to provide the most typical and traditional products of the garden presented and served an original and different way.
For only two euros you can taste rod and cap.
The route will be held on 1, 2, 7, 8 and 9 October and will involve a total of 13 establishments:

"With this initiative we intend to expand the leisure adding gastronomy culture and tradition and thus invite more people to go out and neighbors street from other towns to come and enjoy our programming on the occasion of the Festival the Virgen del Rosario ", stressed Hernandez.
