Customs and traditions will be protagonists on Saturday October 1 at the XII Bando Huertano

The municipality of Lorquí held in the coming days the festival in honor of the Virgen del Rosario where tradition and customs huertanas are the main protagonists.

Thus, on September 23 it took place the presentation of the poster Bando Huertano XII, by a resident of the municipality, Miguel Antonio Abenza, and that embodies the character and essence of Lorquí.

Coinciding with this event also was inaugurated in the city of Lorquí an exhibition of handicrafts huertana of the rock 'The Refajo' which will be open throughout this week and next.

One of the most important dates of this festival is the celebration of Bando Huertano in which the customs and traditions roam the streets of Lorquí on 1 October from 18.30, giving life and bringing to mind own prints of the past and the huertana history of the region.

Then it will take place the offering of flowers to the Virgen del Rosario in Freedom Square and will end this date the coexistence of rocks and musical performances in the park of the Constitution.

Also, new and complete the cultural offer, in collaboration with the Department of Commerce and numerous bars and restaurants of the town, has launched the Gastronomic Route 'Delicias de la Huerta' that offer typical products of our land served a original and different way in a total of 13 stores for just two euros rod and cap.

The route will be held 1,2,7,8 and 9 October and bars participants will be:

"This initiative aims to attract more visitors to the town these days and invite the neighbors of Lorquí to go outside and enjoy the culture and cuisine. The route comes to offering typical garden products but in a different way, more elaborate and original ", as highlighted the Councillor for Commerce and Tourism, Paqui Asensio, during the presentation of posters, flyers and advertising panels that will promote the activities of the Festival.

He also wanted to thank his involvement establishments participating these days on the route.

For its part, the Councillor for Culture, Maria Dolores Garcia, wanted to underline the importance of the celebration of this Bando Huertano parade in which more than a dozen huertana rocks and attracts hundreds of people to the municipality.

It also has advanced within the program there are other interesting activities such as representation of street theater of 'Typical' on Sunday October 9.
