The objective of this project is to get the creation of a municipal book bank to make it available to Lorquí students

The City of Lorquí, betting on an education in equality and for all, continues this course 2017 -18 with the project of implementing the free textbooks in the educational centers of the municipality through the creation of a bank of books to Provision of students.

Thus, from the Department of Education, this year have allocated 10,000 euros more for the purchase of copies of Primary Language and Mathematics at Dolores Escámez College;

Of Natural Sciences and Social Sciences of Primary in the School Jesús García;

Bilingual Mathematics for 2nd of ESO, English for 3rd of ESO and Geography and History for 4th of ESO, at IES Romano García.

Of this measure, through which a total of 30,000 euros have already been allocated in three consecutive courses, a total of 250 students will benefit this year.

The objective of this measure is to progressively provide schools with textbooks to be used by students in the municipality (for those families who collaborate with the AMPA) and who will become part of a municipal book bank.

"Our objective is to be able to gradually cover all the courses and cycles so that the students can make use of these copies placed at their disposal, which will be returned to the center when the course is finished, to help families and prevent them from having to make important Disbursements with the beginning of classes, "as highlighted by the Councilor for Education, Amparo Martinez.

He has also indicated that books are purchased in the village libraries to support local commerce.

This measure is also part of the campaign launched for the third consecutive year by the Department of Commerce along with the librarias of the town for the purchase of textbooks in the establishments of the municipality and the promotion of local commerce with offers and discounts Which allow households to save between 5% and 20% under this heading.
