15 unemployed young people of the municipality carry out a training and employment workshop aimed at labor insertion (14/09/2017)

During the first three months the young people will receive a scholarship of € 10 a day and from December they will be hired in training by the City Council

The mayor of Lorquí, Joaquín Hernández, and Local Development Councilor Carmen Baños, welcomed yesterday to the City Council the 15 unemployed young people who will participate in the mixed program of training and employment 'Espacio Joven-Cabezo de las Polacas', and to the coordinator and trainer of the same.

The objective of this initiative is the labor insertion of the students, previously registered in the National System of Youth Guarantee, through their professional qualification in the specialty of auxiliary operations of masonry of factories and decks.

Also, in addition to the period of theoretical training, young people will perform effective work in the City.

"Our objective, through this program, is to improve the employability of these people through their participation in works and services of public utility or social interest, in this specific case in the environmental recovery and landscape of the heads of Lorquí and the creation of a young space ", as stressed by the mayor.

The program, which began on 7 September and runs until 6 June, has three initial months of training in which students will receive a € 10 scholarship per day.

From December, they will be hired in training by the City of Lorquí.

The 15 young people will receive specialized training in masonry, in addition to other complementary courses on prevention of occupational risks, computer science, gender equality, job search resources, emergency and evacuation plans, first aid, forklift operator, etc.

Within the work to be done, students will address:

Environmental recovery in "Las Terreras".

Creation of a young space in the Cabezo de las Polacas.

Conservation and maintenance of natural spaces of the locality.

Maintenance of the Municipal Nursery created in the previous phase, located in the industrial estate Saladar I, next to Calle Pisuerga.

The above actions will enable the participants in the program to carry out effective work which, together with the occupational vocational training received, which is directly related to said work, will seek their professional qualification, which will help them in the near future. the achievement of a more stable employment.

In this sense they will be able to carry out the following occupations: light prefabricated setter, masonry worker, roof worker, bricklayer and bricklayer, among others.

Hernández addressed the students by pointing out that this training represents an important opportunity to improve their qualification, preparation and, therefore, their possibilities of access to employment;

so he invited them to take advantage of this program.
