All concerts will be performed within the framework of the Church of Santiago Apóstol and will be free of charge

Lorquí hosts, for the fourth consecutive year, the celebration of the Ancient Music Festival (FEMAL), organized by the Department of Culture of the City Council, which aims to complete the cultural offer of the municipality linked to the important historical and artistic heritage of the same, as the Church of Santiago Apóstol, inside which are the three carvings of the Murcian sculptor Francisco Salzillo, and which becomes the solemn stage of the performances programmed within this cycle of concert.

The Festival tries to make known music from different origins and centuries by bringing, as much as possible, the sounds from the past to the present.

The program begins on Saturday, April 14, at 8:30 pm, with the performance of 'DeMusica Ensemble' that dedicates its program to women composers.

On Saturday, April 21, it will be the moment of Spanish Renaissance music with 'Amystis' and, finally, on Saturday, April 28, instrumental music of the Baroque with 'Íliber Ensemble'.

All concerts will be free and in the environment of the Church of Santiago Apóstol, starting at 20.30.

The programming of this fourth edition is very interesting, with groups of great projection within the panorama of the ancient music of Spain.

Making a journey from the Middle Ages and the music of the Renaissance, to the sounds of the Baroque.

"The FEMAL has become a musical and cultural event of reference in the Region of Murcia, an appointment that puts old music to the evenings of the municipality and that adds to the various activities that are carried out for the promotion of our heritage and culture In addition, it has been collected, for the second year in a row, in the Golden Book of Music, "as pointed out by the Councilor for Culture, María Dolores García, during the presentation of the poster that was attended by the Mayor of municipality, Joaquín Hernández, and one of those responsible for the festival, Lorenzo Cutillas.

Note that this year has changed the date of the FEMAL, ahead of July to April, to make it coincide with the celebration of the Cultural Week of the municipality.
