Lorquí City Council through the Department of Equality, held to mark the International Day of the Disabled on 3 December, a week of activities to publicize the work of municipal associations working with people with disability.
Thus, the events begin on Tuesday December 1 with a performance by the theater group the Center for Persons with Disabilities in El Palmar representing 'Tell me' at the Cultural Center at 12.00 for students in 5th and 6th of the two primary schools in the municipality.
In addition, there will also be a workshop on music therapy by the ALFA Association.
On Wednesday, 2 December, Puppet Theatre group 'Corralarte' ALPHA Association representing 'The Bucket of Lorenzo' to children of1 and 2nd Primary, at 12.00 in the Jesus Garcia College.
Simultaneously, at the Cultural Center, theater performance by the Center for Persons with Disabilities 'Quarries' (Cartagena) who will perform the musical 'Platero and I'.
In the afternoon, opening of the exhibition of paintings by students of the Association ADISLO at 20.00 in the city of Lorquí.
Finally, on Thursday, December 3rd puppet theater performance by the group 'Corralarte' Association Alpha with the play 'The Bucket of Lorenzo' for students of 1st and 2nd school Escámez Dolores, at 12.00.
Finally, at 12.30 hours will be held at the Plenary Hall of the City of Lorquí the 'Plenary Children' with the participation of students from the two schools in Lorquí.
The Councillor for Equality, Amparo Martinez, wanted to highlight "the work of these associations despite the difficulties encountered" and praised "the strength and example of overcoming posed by these people."
We also wanted to acknowledge the involvement of all Lorquí associations involved in these activities.
