The delegate of the Government and the Mayor of Lorquí visit E Plan works in the municipality (29/04/2010)

The Government of Spain has been transferred to Lorquí about 2 million euros between 2009 and 2010

The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, and the Mayor of Lorquí, Dolores Garcia, inaugurated the renovation of urban infrastructure in the street Miracles, financed entirely by the Government of Spain under the Plan E, which together have led investment of 398,629 euros and the creation of 22 jobs.

Subsequently visited the other works carried out in the town, also funded with state funds.

In remodeling Lorquí Miracles street has undertaken the renovation of roads, road paving and sidewalks, also in the drinking water supply, sanitation, public lighting, electricity, low voltage and telephone.

González Tovar said today that "it was worth the financial effort that the Government of Spain has to, through this investment, helping create jobs, boost the economy and create the necessary infrastructure of the municipality."

Nearly 2 million euros between 2009 and 2010

The delegate of the Government and the Mayor of Lorquí subsequently visited the other works carried out under the Local Investment Fund 2009, which involved an investment in the municipality of 1,188,298 euros for the implementation of actions that have generated 6 67 posts, of which 57 are newly created jobs and 10 people belonging.

These works were selected by the City in accordance with the needs of the municipality and have included the renewal of urban infrastructure in Lepanto Street (198 875 euros and 8 jobs), conditioning the environment of the fireplace in the road where we have proceeded to the paving of the plaza, installation of street furniture, landscaping and street lighting (49 601 euros and 6 jobs).

To this are added the renovations on the streets Pablo Picasso (342 641 euros and 15 employees) in Gardens Street (191 457 euros and 12 employees) and Street Carnation (7092 and 4 jobs).

González Tovar has also reported that the new State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability to be invested in 2010, will involve a further economic boost for the city of 746,373 euros.

Be carried out works project which envisages the creation of 10 new jobs and social spending bill worth 139,008 euros and that will benefit 600 people.

"In total Lorquí the Government of Spain receives more than 1.9 million in just two years: the largest investment by any government in Lorquí in such a short time and that makes clear the municipality of President Zapatero will," he said.

Current status of state funds in 2009 and 2010 in the Region of Murcia

The delegate of the Government has used the visit to inform the Government of Spain has already paid the full amount of 556 works from the State Fund of 2009, representing 82 percent of the total projects submitted, totaling 673.

Tovar Gonzalez recalled that the Fund has created 13,200 direct jobs across the region.

In this regard, he stated that "the 2009 Fund is meeting the objectives of boosting the economy, job creation and improvement of local infrastructure, particularly in the construction sector, being the hardest hit by the crisis" .

As for the new State Fund, 2010, González Tovar indicated that involves an injection of an additional € 154.1 million to municipalities in the region.

"In just two years, municipalities in the Region of Murcia will receive from the Government of Spain over 400 million euros to boost the economy, create jobs and improve our towns and cities in a time of economic difficulty in which government public should be an example of effective management, "said González Tovar.

The municipalities of the Region have already been approved by the Government of Spain for the start of the 729 projects submitted to this new State Fund.
