The Ministry of Development and Infrastructure has received offers from 57 companies interested in carrying out works to improve road safety on two roads of the regional network and running through the municipalities of Murcia and Lorquí.
Both actions have a global budget of the regional government of more than 702,600 euros.
The first one will be carried out on the RM-F56 highway, which connects Cabezo de la Plata with Sucina, in Murcia, and will be divided into two sections that will add a total length of 1.8 kilometers.
The works, which will start at the beginning of the road at its intersection with the RM-301, will have a deadline of six months and a bidding budget of more than 382,000 euros.
The works of the first section will expand the width of the road to 9 meters, with two lanes of 3.5 meters and shoulders of one meter, repair the blandones and subsidence of the roadway, strengthen the road, improve drainage, reconstruct ditches and increase visibility.
The second intervention will include firm reinforcement.
The Community will also act on the RM-B7 highway, which connects the town of Lorquí with the old railway station to Molina de Segura, which will involve an investment of some 321,000 euros.
The main objective of the works will be to repair the road surface, which presents an irregular surface with deformations and subsidence, to improve the characteristics of the road surface and proceed to the reconstruction and protection of the damaged slopes.
The works will be extended for a period of four months.
