The investigators have arrested the two responsible for the plantation as alleged perpetrators of the crimes of drug trafficking and electric power fraud.
Agents specializing in Prevention of Citizen Safety of the Benemérita began the investigation last May, when they detected strange movements inside a warehouse located in an industrial estate of Lorquí.
In addition to the activity of the people who were in the building, raised the suspicions of the agents the existence of a hole in an interior box in order to illegally connect to the electricity grid.
The civil guards established a surveillance device on the suspects and the property under investigation that allowed to verify the installation of a cabin inside the nave with three prefabricated rooms with insulating panels, where allegedly they were growing marijuana. continuous form for its subsequent sale.
Once all the necessary evidence has been obtained and prior judicial authorization, the Civil Guard has carried out the entry and registration in the industrial warehouse where a sophisticated clandestine greenhouse has been dismantled for the cultivation of cannabis sativa, composed at that time by more than a hundred plants of this substance, as well as another 1,500 grams of marijuana arranged in buds for imminent distribution.
In addition to the drug, agents have seized all the elements used for the production of marijuana, such as sophisticated lighting, heating, ventilation and irrigation devices.
During the exploitation phase of the operation, in which the two culprits of the illicit crop were arrested, the agents verified that they were preparing the immediate cutting of the intervened substance for immediate distribution.
The research shows that the indoor greenhouse used for the massive production of marijuana, with the possibility of carrying out several annual crops, could produce around a thousand plants a year.
The Spanish detainees, aged 57 and 33, residents of Murcia and with a history of similar crimes, the drug seized, the effects recovered and the proceedings ordered have been made available to the Magistrate's Court in Molina de Segura (Murcia).
