With this phrase of the cubist artist Pablo Picasso summed up the author of 'Alma y Paisaje', Emilio Marco Gomariz, the meaning of the exhibition that these days hangs on the walls of the City Hall of Lorquí with a total of 50 works.
Within the Exhibition Space plan, which the Institute of Cultural Industries develops in collaboration with several local administrations of the Region of Murcia, the exhibition of the local artist collects creations in oil and mixed media of various dimensions ranging from the large format to the " pictorial haikus ", a term coined by the author that sums up the beauty and perfection of this small size.
Painted over a period of about 4 years, the paintings capture the artist's pictorial evolution through the landscapes that during this time have touched his soul: from the ruins of Carracedo to the sunsets of El Bierzo, passing through Burgos and Santiago, among other places, to finish at the 'Huerto de los Mirlos', Marco's landscape creation in his native town.
"For a month, everyone who visits the City Council, in addition to the administrative procedures that are carried out here, will be able to enjoy this fantastic exhibition that turns this space from our day to day into a small improvised museum, where everyday life and art mix ", as stressed the mayor of Lorquí, Joaquín Hernández, during the opening of the exhibition on Friday, October 5.
