The mayor of Lorquí, Joaquín Hernández, has received at the Town Hall the owners of 'De Fábula' an ecological winery that has been installed in one of the industrial zones of the municipality.

During the meeting, Antonio Jiménez and Juan José García have presented their products to the first mayor, who has proposed to the managers of the winery the possibility of having their wines in the promotion of local products that the Consistory does in fairs, meetings and other type of events.

For their part, wineries have been delighted with the proposal and with the idea of ​​including a visit to their facilities within the tour packages that are being designed in the town.

Also, from the City Council will be raised to the owners that the labels add the tourism and cultural logo 'Lorquí, City of Salzillo'.

The history of this winery began a few years ago when friends passionate about wine began the adventure of cultivating two vineyards: one of the Monastrell grape, which stands next to the Quípar river, and a second of Chardonnay.

This offered them the possibility of knowing the phases of the wine from the terroir to its commercialization.

Always applying cultivation techniques respectful with the environment and from a traditional rainfed, ecological and biodynamic agriculture.

"The fundamental idea in the process is to interfere as little as possible, seeking to continue with the work done in the vineyard, since this and the way of cultivating it should be the essential part of the wines," as they claim in their letter of introduction .

Currently they sell four different types of wine: 'Raneza', a white wine of Chardonnay variety with barrel aging and ecological certification;

'Sin Prisa', a red with barrel aging, Monastrell variety and ecological certification;

'Tindu', red with barrel aging and ecological certification with a production of 1900 bottles;

and 'With Luz Propia', the latest addition, a naturally sweet red with ecological certification.

"What began as an almost unattainable dream, after intense work, is now a reality" of Fábula.
