A new system of sustainable drainage in the El Saladar I industrial estate in Lorquí will allow the storage of the water collected on the surface to be stored in flood-prone green areas with a reservoir typology.
The Minister of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Miguel Ángel del Amor, met today with the President of the Urban Development Entity of the Industrial Park El Saladar I of Lorquí, José López, in order to study the hydrological configuration of this area with solutions adapted to new sustainable drainage systems.
The objectives pursued by this project are "to reduce or eliminate flooding in the area, generate an efficient drainage infrastructure for surface water and thus be able to take advantage of water for recharging aquifers or irrigation in the area," Del Amor explained.
Also, the actions that are carried out "must be compatible with the use and enjoyment of the population, with accessibility criteria and providing it with elements of play and leisure that allow its development as an area of ​​free spaces," Del Amor specified. , the planting of autochthonous species will be carried out for a greater landscaping of the area.
