The Autonomous Community has announced the perimeter closure of a total of 22 municipalities, among which is Lorqu , due to the increase in COVID-19 infections registered in recent days, as well as a series of measures additional ones that would include the advance of the curfew at 10 p.m., the closure of the interior areas of bars and restaurants and the limitation of 50% of capacity in terraces and shops.
For his part, the mayor of Lorqu , Joaqu n Hern ndez, has requested, as he has done on other occasions, the voluntary confinement of neighbors, especially of the elderly and the most vulnerable to guarantee their safety.
In this sense, he recalled that it is important to take precautionary and hygiene measures and avoid social and even family relationships to protect those most at risk.
"It is necessary that we make a new effort and leave only and exclusively for what is strictly priority." Lorqu 's figures stood at a total of 44 confirmed cases as of January 7, having experienced a considerable increase in the last week.
A meeting of the COVID Monitoring Committee will be held next week in Lorqu to evaluate the data and determine if new recommendations or provisions are necessary.
For now, local and medical authorities ask for the utmost caution.
