The municipality of Lorquí, on the occasion of the celebration of Holy Week this Palm Sunday hosts the V representation of the Living Passion of Christ.
This is the staging by all the people of the last hours of life of Jesus Christ with a display of nearly one hundred actors, neighbors of Lorquí, that give life to the biblical characters.
Coordinated by the Cultural Association "Friends of the Living Passion 'and with the support of the City of Lorquí and the Council of Guilds, for just over two hours, the whole village is transformed into the biblical Jerusalem, where public and private spaces become historical places that welcomed Christ before his death.
At dusk begins the first scene at the Last Supper, Cultural Center which is followed by The Agony in the Garden and The Arrest, judgments of Caiaphas, Herod and Pilate, arriving at work at its peak at the summit the historical Cabezo de la Ermita with the Crucifixion, Death and Resurrection.
Many residents who work in the sacred representation and many visitors who in recent years near the town of Lorquí and live a unique experience of deep religious, cultural and artistic feeling.
