The mayor of Lorquí, as president of the FMRM, has assured that it will create a Committee on Social Affairs, Health, Development Cooperation, Equality and Family.
The mayor of Lorquí, Joaquin Hernandez, president of the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia, said at the opening of the 4th Meeting of 'Working Psychology at the Social Intervention in Social Services Primary Care', organized by the College of Psychologists of the Region of Murcia and the University of Murcia, which "are the municipalities that should lead, in a way, the construction and design of new equipment Social Services, now that is drafting the new law Social Services, because they are the closest and the first reference of citizens ".
Hernandez stressed that "to increase the welfare of citizens are essential social services as interbranch they can make global assessments of situations, and in them is fundamental the role of psychologists as essential part of these teams."
What gave as an example the 'Networking' is being done in Lorquí from the Municipal Social Services and that has placed the city as a benchmark outside and within the region of Murcia.
Thus, in their aspirations as president of the FMRM is that of placing the municipalities in the place that corresponds to the time to reach a Public Social Services System that meets the real needs, it will create a commission Social Affairs, Health, Development Cooperation, Equality and Family through which channel the demands and needs of local governments and their teams.
The mayor opened the conference at the University of Murcia by the Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities, Thomas Violante;
the Vice Chancellor of Students, Quality and Equality, Miguel Angel Perez;
Dean of the College of Psychologists, María José Catalán Frías;
and the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, Agustín Romero Medina.
