Lorquí municipality becomes a national reference for tourism thanks to the RV parking area for this type of vehicle located in the Park of the Constitution.
Since its opening in 2012 thousands of domestic and international travelers have stayed in this place which is located in a green area next to the River Segura.
"Throughout the year is common to see several campers daily installed in this area, and now, with the arrival of good weather, when the number of tourists rises significantly," says the mayor, Joaquin Hernandez.
It notes that "the parking area is registered in several pages of tourism such vehicles with information on facilities and tourist information on the municipality to sweeten the visit", which shows the commitment of the City for a family tourism "comes to know the culture and traditions of our people and our region."
It is for this reason also installed a tourist street at that site to be consulted by all visitors.
The area RV is five minutes from the center of town and has public toilets, area of ​​waste management and a wide parking area, plus a green area, leisure and sport by the Mota del Rio in the who they have carried out actions for the adequacy of this space.
The work has included cleaning the treated area, removal of the metal fence that prevented the passage between Mota and Park, construction of an access ramp to the path of Mota del Rio from Constitution Park for cyclists, and landscaping of the area integrating the gazebo with Mota.
In addition, it has been restored and rehabilitated street lighting with lampposts colors;
It has been placed street furniture, including an information panel with the street and the unique elements of the municipality and a picnic area;
and they included artistic and ornamental elements that give character to the area as installation art 'poppy-Mutante'.
