The gastronomic route 'Delicias de la Huerta' completes the range of leisure and culture
On the occasion of the festivities in honor of the Virgen del Rosario, on Saturday October 1 the municipality of Lorquí held its traditional Bando Huertano in which marched past nine clubs and more than 500 people.
Thus, in its twelfth edition, the camp organized by the Peña 'El Refajo' in collaboration with the City of Lorquí, moved to the village streets typical of the huertana tradition of the region, such as collection of cotton prints, craftsmanship bread and representation of a barrack;
plus music and dances.
After the tour, participants made the floral offering to the Virgin of the Rosary in Freedom Square rocks which also provided some dances.
Huertanos and huertanas subsequently continued the way to the Plaza de la Constitution where a dinner of brotherhood between all the rocks attended by a thousand people was held.
The programming of the Festival of the Virgen del Rosario is completed by a play on the street 'Typical' Nacho Vilar Productions, Sunday 9 October at 13.00 in the Plaza de la Libertad.
In addition, cultural and leisure offer a gastronomic proposal from the Department of Trade through the 'Delicias de la Huerta' route where 13 establishments in the municipality offer typical products made orchard and services adds this time different and original way.
The Councillor for Culture, Maria Dolores Garcia, expressed his satisfaction with the participation and involvement of the people in the Bando Huertano and invited residents and visitors to continue enjoying the activities planned for the coming days.
