Through this program the young people obtain a certificate of professionalism to improve their possibilities of access to employment
A total of 15 unemployed under 30 years of Lorquí and enrolled in the Youth Guarantee program have been prepared for a year to work in nurseries, gardens and garden centers through a program developed by the Autonomous Community, through the Service Employment and Training, and the City of Lorquí, in which students alternate training with paid employment.
This is a mixed program of employment and training that has received a grant of 163,000 euros from the Ministry of Economic Development, Tourism and Employment and co-financed by the European Social Fund.
Participants today received from the mayor of the municipality, Joaquín Hernández, and the director of the SEF, Alejandro Zamora, his certificates of professionalism, which accredit their skills in gardening.
With this accreditation, these 15 young people now have the opportunity to enter the labor market as agricultural laborers, gardeners and / or nurseries and opt for self-employment by creating a company of their own.
The mayor of Lorquí has ​​highlighted the importance of these types of programs that help improve the employment conditions of citizens of the municipality and has invited young people to take advantage of the opportunity they have had to receive training and experience and work Paid during this time and use all the tools they have been given in their job search and in their future professional career.
To obtain this certification, the students have completed a total of 1,920 hours, distributed in 480 hours of theory and 1,440 hours of practice, with which they have acquired professional knowledge and skills in gardening.
The practices have been developed in the same municipality working on environmental recovery, maintenance and improvement of the natural spaces of the town and the terraces of the three heads, as well as the maintenance of the municipal nursery, created in the previous phase of the project.
Previously, Hernández received the SEF director in a meeting in which they analyzed the positive employment data in the municipality, since the unemployment has fallen in 97 people in the last twelve months, registering a decrease of 14%.
As regards job creation, the number of affiliates has increased by 273 people in the last year, which is an increase of 7.5%.
The SEF and the City of Lorquí will develop throughout this year several programs aimed at boosting the employment of the municipality as the project is Local Public Youth Guarantee and training courses for youth and unemployed.
