Last Sunday a group of about 60 boys and girls from the Ithaca Scout group from Las Torres de Cotillas visited the municipality of Lorquí after walking the route that separates both towns.
Upon arrival the young people were welcomed by the mayor, Joaquín Hernández, and the councilor of Tourism, Paqui Asensio, who gave them t-shirts and cap with the coat of Lorquí.
After the reception in the Town Hall, the group made an excursion through some of the most emblematic places of the town: the church of Santiago Apostle, the heads, the cave houses and the Ferris wheel.
In addition, they stopped for lunch in the Parque de la Constitución.
"It is a pride and joy that people are interested and come to visit our municipality and we are delighted to be able to receive them and teach them the riches of our people," said the mayor in his meeting with the Scout group.
