The town of Lorquí has ​​once again shown that it is a solidarity town with an important response and participation in the campaign of solidarity that launched the City Council, through the Department of Commerce, which has collected several boxes and Bags of food for the most disadvantaged and needy families of the municipality.
Thus, the mayor, Joaquín Hernández, and the councilman of Commerce, Paqui Asensio, have delivered all the food received to the director of Caritas Lorquí, Visi Carrillo.
The collection was carried out in the supermarkets of the town coinciding with the campaign of commerce that is carried out in these dates inviting and encouraging the neighbors to participate because their "aid sum".
This initiative, which is being held for the second consecutive year, aims to involve the whole municipality with the most needy people in such special dates, as highlighted by the mayor.
"It is a pride to work for and for a people so supportive, that is why we will continue to contribute our grain of sand and the City Council so that all the neighbors live in the best conditions.We are already thinking about other initiatives to start together", commented The mayor, who has taken the opportunity to thank Cáritas for the enormous work they do for the people of Lorquí.
Finally, the local director of Cáritas expressed its gratitude to the City Council "for always being sensitive to the needs of people with more difficulties and for their positive response to any call."
