The Minister of Development and Infrastructure, Pedro Rivera, announced today that Lorquí Mayor, Joaquín Hernández, that the Community "will condition the firm of the old road of the Lorquí station, which supports a traffic intensity of 3,000 vehicles a day."
The councilor, who held a meeting with the mayor, explained that "the Ministry will draft the works project so that work can begin this year."
The RM-B7 road, classified as a third level, has a length of one kilometer and connects the town center with the old railway station, to Molina de Segura.
The works will consist of the reinforcement of the sign and the replacement of vertical and horizontal signage.
Once the improvement work is completed, the Community will transfer the road to the City Council, at the request of the Consistory's political groups, by virtue of a plenary agreement approved unanimously.
Improvements in public housing
Pedro Rivera presented to the mayor the progress made in the Urban Regeneration and Renewal Area (ARRU) project in the municipality, which contemplates an investment of around 700,000 euros for the rehabilitation of 68 social housing units in Quevedo and Lope de Vega streets, where Will carry out works to improve access, renovation of the sanitation network and rehabilitation of facades and roofs.
The director informed that "the works will be awarded next month so that the works are completed within the current year."
