With the motto "We are what we eat" students of Elementary School and Room of the ESO of the Institute of Secondary Education Romano García de Lorquí have designed and drawn a mural in the surroundings of its center through which invite the neighbors of the municipality To lead a healthier life.
The activity has been carried out in Avenida Abogado Ginés Asensio, a busy area in the municipality since it is located very close to Dolores Escámez College and the said institute.
Also, it is also a very busy location by neighbors of the municipality that perform physical exercise in this area.
This is one of the many activities carried out in the center and several students have been involved in the project to motivate citizens to lead a healthier diet based on the Mediterranean diet and the foods themselves the earth.
"People come here to walk and with this message we want to encourage them to maintain healthy habits and routines," Mariemma Herrero Estévez, student of 4 ° ESO-A.
Another of the classmates has emphasized that: "These activities are very enjoyable, because while participating in interesting projects you collaborate to encourage people to take care of themselves", Laura Noemi Fernandez Perez, 1st grade student.
"We feel very identified with the message and we like it very much," Meriam elGhabi, 1st degree associate of Humanities.
For her part, the teacher in charge of carrying out this activity, Mª Carmen Gandía has stated that they wanted to present a flashy message, full of light and color, to convey that each of us can become what you want.
"One of the things that has caused us to carry out this initiative has been to want to change the image to favor both the perception of the space in which we find ourselves and the habits of the neighbors.
From the City of Lorquí have expressed their gratitude to the teachers and students both for the work they are doing in the center and in their environment.
