The head of Social Rights and Citizenship of the FEMP, Lola Palacios, visited Lorquí on the occasion of the day to know the projects and the methodology that is being developed in the municipality
As part of the important commitment that the City of Lorquí has ​​been making, from its different areas and departments, to respond to the needs of the youngest - a proposal that has given the recognition of UNICEF's "Friendly City of Children" - On Tuesday, July 11, the municipality dedicated a full day to the care of children and adolescents with the programming of various activities.
Thus, in the first hour, the mayor of Lorquí, Joaquín Hernández, and the councilors of the areas of Social Policy, Carmen Baños, and Citizen Participation, Jesus Abenza, held a meeting with the person responsible for Social Rights and Citizenship of the Federation of Municipalities And Provinces of Spain, Lola Palacios, to transfer the methodology that is being carried out in the City council based on networking.
The meeting was also attended by the head of the Center for Social Services and Primary Care of Lorquí, Maria Teresa Guillen, and the psychologist, Maria Fuster.
After this first contact, they made a visit to the Municipal Summer School to know the dynamics that is being carried out with the students.
On the way back to the City Hall, the Plenary Session of the Child and Youth Participation Council was held with children and young people of the municipality who transferred their annual report and their proposals to the Government Team to be taken into account when designing the municipal plans.
"We take note of all your suggestions, because you better know what the children and youth of this people need, and you have our commitment that they will attend to and appreciate each and every one of your contributions, because this is the Real participation, giving voice to all the groups of our people ", as emphasized the mayor.
He also took the opportunity to congratulate all the members of this Council who are doing a very important job and to all the municipal politicians and technicians who make it possible, being an example of participation in the Region.
Finally, after the plenary session, the children were able to enjoy various leisure activities in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento with workshops of pintacaras, ephemeral tatoo, popular games and water to cope with a hot day in which children and adolescents demonstrated to adults That you can and should count on the youngest to improve the lives of all ilorcitanos.
