Within the integral rehabilitation project of the cultural and cultural environment of the Santiago Church and the Plaza de la Libertad, the City Council, through the Department of Urbanism, has begun the fourth phase of it with the remodeling of the Calle Mayor, Framework of the PARDOSM 2017 program.
The works, with a budget of 85,000 euros and a deadline of two months, will continue the line of the actions previously executed in the area and will mean an increase in pedestrian areas, as well as an improvement of safety with a reduction of speed Maximum of 20 km / h and a road with pedestrian traffic and separated on a single platform.
The planned improvements include renovation of street furniture, signage and lighting, pavement renovation and renovation of infrastructure, including obsolete services such as the water supply network, sanitation and rainwater, electricity and public lighting and telecommunications.
From the City Council, the Councilor for Urban Planning, Carmen Baños, thanked the neighbors for their patience and disposition and apologized for the inconvenience this work may cause in the area during the next two months.
He also stressed that it will be an important improvement for one of the most central and emblematic areas of the town, consolidating a project of rehabilitation and reform of the whole environment.
