The City Council and the electricity company Iberdrola have signed an agreement whereby they undertake to protect vulnerable customers in this municipality.

The objective of this agreement, ratified by the Town Hall Plenary on July 13, is to avoid the suspension of gas and electric power supply in those households with the most economic difficulties.

The measure will benefit those families who, after an assessment by the Social Services, obtain social assistance to pay the receipts.

The agreement will also make it possible to speed up the restoration of supply in cases where the suspension has already taken place, as well as the coordination mechanisms between the City and Iberdrola for the management and processing of private individuals in relation to: changes in ownership in contracts, Of the social bond, changes of type of contract and modifications of data.
