The deputy mayor of Lorquí and Councilor for Public Safety, Carmen Baños, held a meeting this morning;
next to the first mayors of Ceutí, Juan Felipe Cano, and Alguazas, Blas Ángel Ruipérez;
with the government delegate, Francisco Bernabé, to transfer several claims on citizen security.
Specifically, they have requested more resources and Civil Guard troops for the Molina de Segura barracks, which is the one that serves the Vega Media area.
"We wanted to hold a meeting with the new Government delegate to make him arrive and to know a historical claim of the three municipalities: the need for the Ministry of the Interior to immediately provide more troops for the Molina de Segura barracks, since the current situation is not enough to guarantee security in the three locations ", as highlighted by Baños.
He also stressed that he has also been asked to study the possibility of moving the Molina de Segura barracks to one of the three municipalities that depend on it.
For his part, Bernabé has announced that he has the commitment of the secretary of state in matters of security to increase the number of troops in this and other points of the region for the summer.
And as for the transfer of the facilities, has indicated that it will reopen the file that was closed in 2012 with the refusal of the Ministry of the Interior.
