The municipality of Lorquí, on the occasion of the celebration of Holy Week, hosts on Palm Sunday the VII representation of the Living Passion of Christ.
It is about the staging, for all the people, of the last hours of Jesus Christ's life.
Thus, almost a hundred residents of the town give life to the biblical characters.
Coordinated by the cultural association 'Friends of the Living Passion' and with the support of the City Council of Lorquí and the Cabildo de Cofradías, for a little more than two hours, the whole village is transformed into ancient Jerusalem, where public and private spaces are they turn into the historical places that welcomed Christ before his death.
At the end of the afternoon, starting at 9:00 pm, the first scene of the Last Supper begins, at the Cutlural Center 'Enrique Tierno Galván', followed by Prayer in the Garden and the Prendimiento, the judgments of Caiphas, Herod and Pilatos, and the via crucis through the town to Cabezo de la Ermita, where the Crucifixion, Death and Resurrection take place.
There are many neighbors who participate and collaborate in the representation and about two thousand visitors who in recent years approach the town of Lorquí and live a unique experience and a deep religious, cultural and artistic feeling.
