That is what has made the City of Lorquí, which has given the name of one of its illustrious neighbors to a path in the municipality.
Thus, Levante Avenue is called Avenue Alacid Gines Asensio, after the lawyer left ilorcitano that life in the tragic train crash remembered Chinchilla.
The disaster happened on June 3, 2003, one of the most important in Spain, killed 19 people and left nearly 50 injured.
The unveiling of the plaque took place on the afternoon of Thursday 30 September and was given by the son of the honoree, in a ceremony attended by his family, the local mayor, Dolores García Villa, several members his administration and a massive attendance of the municipality.
"With this award we fondly remember one of us, who always had a kind gesture and was prepared to help their neighbors," said Garcia Villa at the end of a ceremony in which the widow of Asensio and his sister spent a words of thanks to the present.
