The Department of Culture Lorquí opened on the evening of Friday November 19 at the Exhibition Hall of the local council the painting exhibition "Return", John J.
Gil, in a ceremony that was attended by the Mayor ilorcitana, Dolores Garcia, and his council of Culture, Antonio Asensio.
The exhibition, which features free admission and offers a wide range of best of the artist's work will be active until December 3 from 9am to 14 hours from Monday to Friday and from 17 to 20 hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays .
On the other hand, acts in Lorquí continue on Friday 26 November (9 hours), when starting the "XIII Canary Singing Contest" in the specialty ring Spanish.
Like every year, this event will be held at the premises of the old Town Hall (next to the Local Police) will be organized by the Association of canary Peña del Segura.
And from this day residents of the municipality will enjoy new Cultural Center "Enrique Tierno Galván" after its refurbishment.
For its reopening two events are scheduled (21 hours): the presentation of the guidebook "Discover Lorquí" which makes a complete review of the most emblematic of the town (cultural, tourist, holidays ...) and a music concert Banda by the association "Friends of Music Lorquí" action that will have free admission.
