About 500 people paraded through the streets of Lorquí am Sunday, March 13 (16 hours) with three main objectives: to put aside everyday concerns, to surprise with their costumes and enjoy the most.
And is that the town streets ilorcitano host the 2011 big carnival parade, full of joy, noise and revelry, and involving a total of 14 extras.
These can be viewed at local schools, the local rock of "The Cot", the dance studio's "Innova", the Infant School ilorcitana and even foreign groups coming from Sangonera La Verde, and Ceutí Alguazas .
Departing from the Station Road and finishing at the Town Hall Square as is tradition, the groups participating will be eligible for awards proposed by the Consistory ilorcitano: a commemorative plaque to the three best proposals.
"Despite the crisis, which none of us forget, this time is a good opportunity to give free rein to the imagination, ingenuity and talent in order to make the most of a day full of noise and color," Celebrations points local Councilman, Antonio Asensio.
