The mayor of Lorquí, Dolores García Villa, handed in on Friday morning March 18 diplomas to the students of the Gerontological Training basic course in recent weeks has been held at the Centro Municipal de Santiago del city street.
This proposal, which had 60 lessons and was aimed at men and women we see in an unprofessional manner to people in situations of dependency, tuition was free and was delivered Monday to Friday morning (from 9:30 to 13 '30 hours).
Among the objectives of the workshop highlighted the training of caregivers for elderly in aging issues and provide them with resources and basic skills for caring for family and basic strategies for planning the care provided to the dependent person.
In addition, it sought to provide basic knowledge about dependency, aging and needed care.
"This training initiative intended to raise awareness among caregivers of elderly people reliant on the importance of adequate training," said the local mayor, Dolores Garcia Villa.
The course was organized by the nonprofit association "Intergenerational Solidarity" and COAG, in collaboration with the City of Lorquí, and funded by the Ministry of Health, Social Policy and Equality.
