The Segura River Basin (CHS) will remove the invasive vegetation of the Segura river passing through the town of Lorquí.
The president of the CHS, Charo Quesada, this initiative has passed to the new mayor of Lorquí, Joaquin Hernandez, during a meeting.
The first mayor of Lorquí reported during the meeting that the proliferation of reeds in the river was paralyzing the work of spraying against mosquitoes and threatened to undermine the effectiveness of any preventive treatment that was used.
Charo Quesada conveyed the action in the Segura passing through Lorquí was already covered under the regular plan of action the Commissioner's Water CHS this summer, so the cleaning will be done soon.
On the other hand, Joaquin Hernandez also requested a review of Speck Segura, because damage has occurred recently given, as the City of Lorquí, the heavy machinery of the basin organization aimed at maintenance.
The CHS is committed to study the damage and see how they originate, so that if the responsibility of the company that performed the above tasks, the damage will be corrected as soon as possible.
