Mayor Lorquí, Joaquin Hernandez, met on the morning of Thursday August 25 with the Regional Government president, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, in his office at the Palacio de San Esteban to transfer the main problems of the municipality ilorcitano.
The Socialist mayor has asked Valcárcel collaboration to take forward a number of projects for which it is necessary the collaboration of the regional administration, applications to which "the president has shown strong commitment."
"I was assured that soon they will contact the directors responsible for me to get down to work with each project," said the mayor ilorcitano.
As a priority need, Hernandez has shown the need to build in Lorquí a Day Centre for the largest in the municipality.
"It is a very important project for our people, which is valued at one million euros and that since 2008 the regional government is committed to fully fund a municipally owned parcel of 4,000 m2 located in the UA-12," said Hernández.
Another urgent issues on the table has ilorcitano Mayor is the conclusion of the works of the Cultural Promotion Centre, started in early 2010, parades and currently valued at over one million euros.
Hernandez has requested the signing of the agreement, still pending, in order to obtain bank financing that will allow completion of these facilities are built in the local AU-9 on a surface of 1,453 m2 and will have four floors.
New roundabout in the Industrial
In addition, during his visit to President Murcia Hernandez has also requested the construction of a new roundabout on the road B33 in its passage through the industrial area of ​​the town Saladar I ilorcitana, up to the morgue.
This roundabout is part of the project of the Ministry of Public Works and Planning of Regional Government to improve road safety and communications in this way by a total of five roundabouts.
"This road reaches record 15,000 vehicles a day, so to conclude this project will improve traffic and safety of the thousands of people circulating in the area," the mayor pointed ilorcitano.
Hernandez also wanted to convey to Valcárcel two lawsuits to improve the quality of life for residents of the hamlet of La widths: first, a solution to the problems in the drinking water supply to the area and, secondly, the need to install a traffic light to increase road safety in the environment.
