The Local Board in Lorquí of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) has announced the renewal of its Board of Directors as part of a meeting held in the Plenary Hall of the City ilorcitano on 17 November and was attended assistance from the local mayor, Joaquín Hernández, and regional president of that institution, Augustine Navarrete.
People who take the reins now ilorcitana section of the AECC will be Maria Almela (Chair), Maria del Carmen Hernandez (Vice President), David Casale (Secretary) and Maria Angeles Navarro (treasurer).
The AECC Lorquí, created 13 years ago, is one of the most dynamic groups and representative of the town, both the number of members who compose it, to date, over 150 neighbors collaborate on the objectives of the charity organization - for the activities it promotes.
In this sense, the board ilorcitana develops over the years a sustained effort focused on cancer prevention and awareness, promoting specific campaigns in the municipality of review and testing aimed at the whole population.
"The lines of work Lorquí AECC will also focus on short term in the planning and organization of a series of events characterized by solidarity and charity to raise funds for the fight against cancer," said its president, Maria Almela , which stands between these initiatives, "the celebration of sports marathons, hiking trails along the banks of the Segura, theater, karaoke ...".
