On Tuesday December 13 Lorquí City Council will launch the course, entitled "Our crafts: Stained Glass", aims to revalue regional crafts and which aims to introduce students to the knowledge of the different types and characteristics of glass, as well as the development of templates and molds for the creation of the lamps "Tiffanys".
With 55 classroom hours and evening hours (from 16:30 to 19:30 hours), this proposed training will end on February 23.
This course is taught in the local municipal Santiago Street, is made possible by a grant of nearly 3,400 euros included in the "Plan Leader" and funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Thus, participants, who do not need any experience in this field exhaustively-known painting of windows and conveniently learn the technique famous "Tiffany" (to create works such as lamps, vases, ornaments ...).
The course will have three sections: the first will be a flat piece easy to learn to use basic working techniques, the second will be a lamp using the above techniques, and the third will break a piece of those made for to restore.
There will be particular interest in cutting glass and in the preparation of parts before the soldier and to teach the processes of cleaning and patina of the finished part.
