The Segura basin (CHS) has begun work to pipe much of the Rambla del Saladar as it passes through the district of Los Rosales Lorquí, jobs that will allow the elimination of bad odors and have an estimated investment of 30,000 euros.
These works will enable the channeling of 600 meters from the coastline of Saladar, representing almost half of its travel.
"With the tubing from the coastline will end with the discomfort to the stagnation neighborhood of water with heavy rains and associated odors, pests and mosquitoes at high temperatures," said the local mayor, Joaquin Hernandez, who recalls that "it is an area where they are also very close two schools such as the school 'Romano Garcia' and school 'Dolores Escámez', which concentrate a large number of children during the course."
The mayor also wanted to remember that in this way meet the demands of the neighboring environment, which for years demanded a solution to this problem.
The president of the CHS, Rosario Quesada, visited on 1 December, the municipality and, after meeting in the Consistory ilorcitano with the local mayor, both visited the site where the works are being carried out.
