The Association of Intervention Health and Disasters in the Region of Murcia (ASICAT-RM) on April 26 featured a dog show in the Secondary School Lorquí Roman Garcia.
The purpose of this exhibition is to show the audience the work of trained dogs to detect substances hazardous to public health and to find victims in rubble caused by natural disasters, among other things.
Four dogs with their instructors participated in this exhibition to demonstrate its ability to find narcotics in one of the eight cones placed at random in the school courtyard.
The dogs sniff and when they find what they want, they put their trainer.
Thus, these dogs are working with the police action against drug trafficking, among others.
ASICAT, an organization dedicated to the promotion and defense of qualified training in Emergencies and Disasters, conducts dog training courses in emergency and drug prevention.
With actions like those developed in the IES Roman Garcia, the association aims to teach the work of trained dogs to teenagers and encourage the municipality to assist in the work as volunteers.
