On May 3 pupils in public schools and teacher Jesus Garcia Dolores Lorquí Escámez took part in the first school Olympics taking place in the municipality.
Calls Coleolimpiadas gathered more than 600 students in the sports facilities of the municipality.
All morning the students participated in competitive football 11, football, matt ball, athletics and bocce.
Younger enjoyed a morning of games and activities in the city hall, where they practiced their ability to carry a small ball on a spoon or jump a rope attached between two poles.
Participating students that counted at all times under the supervision of teachers and members of the AMPAS, were grouped around the 28 countries that accounted for Olympic competition for wearing a shirt with the flag of the country they represented.
Thus, 600 students representing 28 countries came from the two schools at 9:00 am and began the road to their respective sports champions and, of course, with Olympic torch head.
The Coleolimpiadas Lorquí 2012 had a great acceptance among students, faculty and AMPAS who warmly welcomed the initiative by the Sports Department of the City of Lorquí.
This afternoon is scheduled to deliver medals to the participants.
The spirit of the Coleolimpiadas is the healthy competition and coexistence, so there will be medals for each of the students who participated, regardless of the outcome of sporting competitions.
