Pupils of the Public School Dolores Lorquí Escámez have today, date the retake classes after the holiday period, with a sports completely renovated within the school for sports activities.
Lorquí City Council, through the Department of Urban Development, has invested a total of 18,000 euros in the adequacy of these facilities through the renovation of the sports, which have included the resurfacing of this, improving the pedestrian environment and the construction of new pending for disposal of rainwater that will prevent flooding in case of rain.
Furthermore, it has been taking advantage of suspension of classes because of the Easter holiday and the Spring Festival the last two weeks to carry out the renovation of this sports facility without these interfere in routine and daily work of the center.
The Town Planning, Carmen Baths, said that "this action is in response to a demand from the educational community because since turning Dolores Escámez school, 30 years ago, had not been renewed before the pavement."
The Mayor of Lorquí, Joaquin Hernandez, recalled that once again the City Council has been commissioned to take charge of a performance that is the responsibility of the autonomous region, since this administration rests on the maintenance of public schools.
However, the Consistory "takes this commitment to the residents and caters for pupils of the municipality."
