Lorquí is the tenth city that joins the initiative 'Entrepreneur Municipality' promoted by the regional government.
The Minister for Universities and Research Company, José Ballesta, and the mayor, Joaquin Hernandez, today signed an agreement that promotes the implementation of joint actions to promote the creation and development of entrepreneurial business initiatives.

José Ballesta said that "this is an action that the regional government, through the Institute of Development, takes a pioneer in Spain", adding that "with this agreement the two governments, regional and local levels, we are committed to promote initiatives aimed to stimulate local business development and generating employment, creating an enabling environment. "
By signing this agreement, the City of Lorquí and Development Institute will intensify their collaboration by implementing local measures that contribute positively to the creation of new businesses, the reduction or elimination of red tape by the momentum of the e -administration, promotion of industrial land and the implementation of incentives and bonuses in local taxes that favor the creation of companies and the consolidation of existing ones, especially those that put in motion processes of change related to the environment and sustainability.
Another object of this agreement the promotion and reinforcement of their own or other infrastructure that can accommodate activities at an early stage on favorable terms and the enhancement of existing business infrastructure and development activities in support to the business and potential entrepreneurs, through various instruments and through its integration into the Red Point SMEs.
For its part, the City Council is committed to developing Lorquí actions to valuing the contribution of entrepreneurs in creating wealth and employment in the municipality, valuing the role of employer and generator of wealth for society as well as contribute to the involvement of the centers of Elementary and Secondary Education and Vocational Training centers of the municipality in projects promoting entrepreneurship at an early age.
In addition, the session will create the social economy enterprise space, where available to municipal companies of industrial land plots linked to job creation, giving priority to companies operating in the field of Social Economy will establish an online network Business Communication among SMEs in the town and create a Single Service Office at Unemployed and Entrepreneur.
Open to all municipalities in the region
The distinction 'Municipality Entrepreneur' is granted by the Ministry of Universities and Research Company all those municipalities in the region to commit themselves to implement a custom package to support business in your area.
This qualification is open to all municipalities in the Region of Murcia.
