The plan of adjustment and modernization of water supply and sanitation network has a total budget of more than 125,000 euros and will be developed within five years.
Lorquí City Council, through the service concessionaire Acciona Agua, is carrying out the renovation of the water supply and sanitation in the streets and Antonio Machado John Doe Township in the amount of around 17,864 euros.
Interventions are within the plan that includes the adaptation and modernization of pipelines and ancillary facilities of water supply and sewerage network in a period of five years with a total budget amounting to 125,000 euros.
"The objective is the renewal of the entire network through annual interventions to provide better service and better benefits to residents of Lorquí", as indicated by the Town Planning, Carmen Baños.
Specifically, Antonio Machado Street has made an intervention with a total budget of 8,404 euros and Pio Baroja Street invest a total of 9,460 for the replacement of pipes and household connections, in addition to running the new rush to solar undeveloped.
The actions have focused on the replacement of existing pipes, in cases in which it has been necessary, they repair and installation and commissioning of means to improve the service provided to subscribers and performance existing network.
For the determination of the roads included in each of the phases of action of 2012-2016 five-year plan have been established a number of priorities taking into account several factors such as those that had more needs and weaknesses and those that were obsolete .
A long-term project
In addition, the City of Lorquí with the concessionaire Acciona Agua is working on developing a long-term planning to establish an overview of the status, needs and future interventions in the water supply and sanitation networks in the municipality.
The aim of this project, which would be based on the development of a mapping of existing networks and the creation, with the collected data, a computer model, would improve and optimize the management of these networks and programming its future development.
