Lorquí City Council, through the Department of Culture, has organized the II Cultural Week from 21 to 28 April in order to offer a full program covering all areas and cultural areas.

So, this year, music, theater, literature, photography and radio have been the protagonists of a comprehensive program that included activities for all ages.

Also, note that also dedicated a significant space for initiatives and proposals related to training and education, through discussions, workshops and lectures.

The councilman of Culture, María Dolores García, expressed his satisfaction, once the week, for the success of participation and attendance reached in all proposals, as they have surpassed last year's figures in both cases.

"Not only are more people enrolled in activities and competitions, but also the shows and have received an enthusiastic response from the residents of the village," he assured.

The activities started on Sunday 21 with the reading marathon at the Cultural Center Enrique Tierno Galván and concluded on Sunday with the Spring Concert and Choir Rondalla Lorquí.

However, the culmination of this initiative will put children's theater representation 'The Ratita Presumida' on Sunday May 4 at the Cultural Center, by Zero Theatre Company, during which prizes will be awarded short story contest and photography.

In addition, the proposals stand out from daily, the youth-oriented, such as Radio Workshop for students of IES Roman Garcia, parents, and the talk-talk to learn to manage emotional conflicts with their children, or the show Music for Seniors

The council has stressed the important cultural activity taking place in the town by the association throughout the year that ends this week complete with one hundred percent dedicated to culture for all ages, and wanted to thank all associations involvement in this project.

Also, the mayor has also emphasized the good reception given between the residents and visitors of the people I Theatre Festival 'Villa de Lorquí' which was held the week prior to the Second Cultural Week.
