The pet chosen will accumulate more likes on this social network in a week
Lorquí City Council, through the departments of Health and Sustainable Development, has organized an exhibition and pet contest through social network Facebook to elect the mascot of Lorquí 2013 between pets of residents of lorquí.
This activity is part of the program I Lorquí Healthy Week which aims to promote and encourage healthy lifestyles and sustainable for the whole family on the occasion of the celebration of World No Snuff and World Environment Day.
So, on Wednesday June 5 ceremony took place pets display in the Town Hall Square Lorquí in which all animals were registered and photographed to participate in the contest.
In addition, all participants received information protection ordinance and possession of pets, so they know how to care for your pets and how to behave with them in public places.
Then the pictures of the 38 participants have been hung animals on Facebook with their names so that everyone can vote for their favorites by clicking on the 'I'.
In total, we have counted 35 dogs, a cat, a turtle and a hamster.

On Friday June 14 will be announced the winner, who will be the one who earns the most 'I like you' till 21:00 pm the same day.
The winner will become the mascot Lorquí 2013, receiving a commemorative certificate.
The Councillor for Health and Sustainable Development, Carmen Baños, said that such initiatives, in addition to encouraging the participation of residents of Lorquí, especially younger ones, help to highlight the importance of proper care of pets and pet care in the field of environmental and neighborhood relations.
In this regard, he wanted to emphasize that these relationships with pets help children develop their sense of responsibility to the animals themselves, the environment and society in general.
