The Mayor Lorquí, Joaquin Hernandez, received this morning a delegation of the Polisario Front in the Region of Murcia in order to reaffirm the existing partnerships and demonstrate their commitment to the cause of the Saharawi people.

In this sense, the mayor has conveyed their solidarity and all the people of Lorquí their struggle and desire a just and lasting solution to their situation.

Currently, the City of Lorquí collaborates with an annual contribution to the Friends of the Saharawi people.

And last May, the full City Council approved Lorquí unanimously to a motion to show solidarity with the cause of the Saharawi people, which also demanded "respect for human rights in the occupied territories and encourages closer assistance and cooperation in the camps. "

So, after the meeting, both sides have expressed their intention to maintain their commitment to the future and have opened the possibility of new forms of collaboration.
