Lorquí City Council has added this morning to the events to mark the International Day of Struggle Against Gender Violence 12.00 and has held a minute of silence in memory of the 45 women killed so far this year.
Also, opposite the main facade of the City, from which hung a lavender tie, was read a manifesto revulsion to this type of violence in which students have collaborated IES García Lorquí Romano and representatives of the Association of Women Active Lorquí.
The event had joined many residents of Lorquí, City staff, representatives of various associations and municipal agencies and local police Lorquí.
For his part, Mayor Lorquí, Joaquín Hernández, has appealed to the "collective rebellion of citizens against violence, because we must not allow this situation to continue is criminal and dynamic."

The mayor stressed the importance of reactivating the Integral Law against Gender Violence with sufficient and appropriate budget and the need for laws to cross an education in equality and respect for human rights.
