In the event the work of two journalists Lorquí be awarded: Doña María Ángeles García Villa and Maria Dolores García Marco, and two renowned professionals in the region: Doña María José López Alarcón García Alarcón and Doña Pity.

On the occasion of the commemoration of March 8 as Day of Working Women Lorquí City Council held an event to celebrate the achievements of the struggle of women and claiming gender equality in all aspects of society.

Thus, this year's event, held on Saturday at 20:30 in the Enrique Tierno Galván Cultural Center, will be devoted to the role of women in the media and winning are four recognized professionals: Doña María Ángeles Villa García, Doña María Dolores García Marco, both residents of Lorquí, Doña María José López Alarcón García Alarcón and Doña Pity.
