At this event, held for the third time in the town, attended by about two thousand people
On Palm Sunday, following the traditional blessing of palms and procession through the streets of Lorquí, took place for the third consecutive year from 20.30 holding Living Passion of Christ by residents of the municipality.
This representation of the people walking several points simulating scenarios that recall the Passion of Christ.
The tour started at the Cultural Center Lorquí with the staging of the Last Supper of Jesus with his disciples, then moved to Church Square, where the Agony in the Garden and Judgment takes place before the Sanhedrin and Pontius Pilate .
The last scene, after recalling procesionar by the people rising with Christ to Calvary's cross, takes place in the Peak of the Hermitage where he is crucified and resurrected.
This event is a reflection of cultural activity in the town, besides the religious fervor and devotion, as highlighted Cutura Councilwoman Maria Dolores Garcia.
In this sense, "the facilities and equipment, both sound and lights and scenarios have been facilitated and provided by the City of Lorquí that could be undertaken the representation," said the mayor of Culture.
Finally, the mayor, Joaquín Hernández, has emphasized the importance in terms of tourism that such events can have on the town, and has expressed its commitment to the dissemination and promotion of those peculiarities that make Easter I lorquí a unique event in the Region of Murcia.
