Yellow Feathers has, from today, the title credited as Pet Lorquí 2015 after receiving a commemorative plaque from the Councillor for Health, Jesus Abenza, at City Hall.
This canary, less than two years old, received nearly 2,500 'like' through Facebook in less than a week, remaining above the other participants in the pet contest held within the Healthy Week Lorquí.
Curiously, Feathers Yellow competed for the title with 24 dogs.
It has also made delivery of a consignment of food and books for the care of animals to Fran, his young owner, who has said he is "very pleased with this award, the entire family has lived this moment with great enthusiasm and Yellow Feathers sing that much more since it is mascot Lorquí ".
For his part, Councillor for Health has invited all residents of Lorquí to participate in these initiatives that move to younger love for pets but also responsibility and care they should have with them.
