The full City Council Lorquí unanimously approved with the votes for the Popular Party and Citizens, a proposal from Mayor institutional declaration of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) in relation to the municipal coordination of the Socialist Party refugee aid in order to join the municipal network for the management and use of resources available at each location to meet this group.
Thus it is for the FEMP dialogue with the Government of Spain of municipal support to refugees.
Through its Municipal Coordination Office for Refugees, local councils, provincial councils and Island Councils will have access to updated information generated in this process and may raise its offer to resources.
Additionally, it performs a single inventory of all the resources that local governments provide and which will be transferred to the Government of Spain to provide a coordinated and effective response to the humanitarian crisis.
