The director general of Transport and Highways, Carmen Sandoval, accompanied by the mayor of Lorquí, Dolores García, today visited the new roundabout built at the intersection of roads B-8 and B-33, near the town of Lorquí, and proposed roundabout at the industrial estate which will improve road safety and circulation to industrial area and into the A-30, "bearing in mind that traffic is very heavy nuclei, especially at peak times," said Sandoval said.

The roundabout was built at the intersection of roads B-8 and B-33, an investment of 277,000 euros and consists of a central island diameter of 26 meters inside and 48 outside diameter, with 2 lanes of four meters an inner and outer shoulder of one meter and 1.5 meters respectively.

It also has 2 lanes turning right into the industrial estate 'Saladar I' and Archena, and from the B-33, in the sense Ceutí-Lorquí.

The performance has also been a significant improvement over the channeling of the Acequia Mayor of Molina de Segura, because the drainage ditches has been coated with a trapezoidal design more favorable for this type of action.

In addition, the interior of the roundabout will be marking, vertical and marking, as well as appropriate lighting to ensure maximum visibility and safety.

For the director general of Transport and Highways, these works "are important actions for the Road Safety Plan developed by the Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport, and promote traffic safety."

Improved B-33
